Human Resources Manager

Job Summary:

Melink Solar, a leading commercial solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company specializing in designing and building solar arrays, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our growing team.  The Human Resources Manager will lead all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and organizational development.  The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping a growing organization achieve its strategic goals.  This position reports to the CFO of Melink Solar.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
    • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
    • Own the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection.
    • Enhance the employee onboarding experience to ensure new hires feel welcomed and aligned with the company’s culture and mission.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement:
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees regarding HR policies, conflict resolution, and career development.
    • Foster a positive workplace culture by implementing initiatives that promote employee engagement, inclusion, and retention.
    • Conduct regular employee surveys and use feedback to inform HR strategies and programs.
  • Performance Management & Development:
    • Manager performance evaluation process to drive individual and organizational growth.
    • Develop professional development programs, including training, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities.
    • Develop and deploy a comprehensive learning and development toolbox and individual development plans to employees.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
    • Oversee workplace safety initiatives and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS):
    • Implement and own new HRIS system (ADP).
    • Administer payroll processes and oversee employee benefits enrollment and administration.
    • Develop and manage total rewards package for employees.
  • Strategic HR Leadership:
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
    • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on workforce planning and organizational design.



 

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling content for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in using HR software and tools (e.g., ADP, JazzHR, Criteria Corp, etc).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Strong organizational, follow-through, interpersonal, and communication and team building skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Passion for sustainability and renewable energy is a plus.
